The Introduction of The Intuition Toolkit!
…For several years my friends and I sought out the best “psychics,” mediums and other spiritual gurus. We would compare notes of who was “accurate,” who could give us the timeframes of the outcomes that we desperately wanted and who was honest and legitimate. I watched other friends try to rely solely on “logic” and “reality” but who soon would find that their “logic” had led them down the wrong path…again! They would say, “I knew I should have trusted my gut!” “But how can I when it seems that if I make a mistake it would have cataclysmic consequences?!”
Early on though I started to get “signs” that I was “intuitive” myself and could do the readings and predictions in many cases better than the people I was paying. I found that my intuition was very accurate for others and had a line of friends, clients and family members asking me for “intuitive advice.” They would say, “Mari what do you get on this? Or what do you think the Angels are saying about that? Or when will he call? Or should I do this or that?”
What was interesting is that I would be able to get a feeling or a knowing immediately about their issue. I might see a distant vision or hear a small voice say something. All of this I took for granted. Yet my friends and clients would call me or write me even years after and say, “Remember when you told me that? Well it was so true…” I was amazed that people sometimes 5 years later would tell me that they were still listening to tapes of our sessions and using them as guidance.
For a while this was exciting. Especially because I knew that I was helping so many people. But I had a burning question inside of me. “Why could I do this for other people with such objectivity and confidence but when it came to myself I was not able to?”
“Why did I go into a personal tailspin when it came to relying on my intuition for my own direction and decision making?”
I would always hear “Trust your intuition” or “Go with your gut” yet I was not able to fully let go and trust. Instead of that confident feeling that I would get for my clients I would start analyzing and perseverating on all the different potential outcomes that “could” happen.
